PowerExchange Condense Tasks

PowerExchange Condense Tasks

When you start PowerExchange Condense, the main Controller task initializes and then starts the subtasks.
The following subtasks run under the Controller:
  • Command Handler, DTLCCMDH
  • Condense, DTLCCNDS
The following image shows the PowerExchange Condense tasks and their functions:
The following table describes the main functions of each PowerExchange Condense task and subtask:
Task
Description
Controller
Manages startup, error handling, cleanup, and the running of subtasks.
Command Handler
Handles the processing of commands and the command interface.
Condense
Periodically performs condense processing.
The communication among the tasks is handled by using an internal process event mechanism.
The following image shows the tables and files that a Condense process uses and generates during a condense cycle:
The Condense process uses the checkpoint restart and condense control tables and writes to the CDCT file and partial or full condense files.
