Encrypt Password Utility

Encrypt Password Utility

To improve security, you can use the encrypt password utility to encrypt a clear text password or a valid PowerExchange passphrase. PowerExchange supports passphrases for access to i5/OS and z/OS only.
You can use the encrypted password or passphrase to control access to a source, execute pwxcmd commands, run some PowerExchange utilities, or configure the PowerExchange Logger for Linux, UNIX, and Window. Copy and paste the encrypted password or passphrase into the relevant command parameter, utility control statement, or configuration file.
