Configuration Tasks

Configuration Tasks

To set up LDAP user authentication in PowerExchange, perform the following LDAP and PowerExchange configuration tasks:
  1. If you are using the Oracle LDAP implementation, Install the Oracle LDAP client libraries on each machine where the PowerExchange Listener or PowerExchange Logger for Linux, UNIX, and Windows runs.
    For more information, see the documentation for your LDAP software.
    If you are using the OpenLDAP implementation, the PowerExchange installation program installs the OpenLDAP client libraries.
  2. Set environment variables to enable PowerExchange to locate the LDAP client libraries.
    For more information, see Setting Environment Variables.
  3. To use TLS with LDAP, configure the required truststore and keystore files.
    For more information, see the TLS documentation for your system.
  4. Add the appropriate LDAP statements to the PowerExchange DBMOVER configuration file on each PowerExchange Listener or PowerExchange Logger machine that supports LDAP authentication.
