Configuring the DBMOVER Member for Library Refresh Processing

Configuring the DBMOVER Member for Library Refresh Processing

Configure the DBMOVER statements and parameters that pertain to DB2 for i5/OS library refresh processing.
You must configure the following parameter:
  • ALWLIBRFSH=Y in the AS4J CAPI_CONNECTION statement
. Enables PowerExchange to refresh the library interest list when you issue the SNDPWXJRNE command for an add library (*ADDLIB) or delete library (*DLTLIB) operation.
Informatica recommends that you also configure the following statements and parameters:
  • LIBASUSER=Y parameter in the AS4J CAPI_CONNECTION statement
. Populates the generated DTL__CAPXUSER column with the library name and file name where a change was made. This setting can help you determine the library from which a change was captured.
  • AS400EVENTMSGQ statement
. Specifies an event message queue on the i5/OS system to which PowerExchange sends DTL3003 and DTL3004 messages for an *ADDLIB or *DLTLIB event. You can use these messages to verify that the refresh request was processed. You must also specify the
    Event Identifier
value in the SNDPWXJRNE command for the refresh request.
  • AS400USRJRNCODE statement
. Defines two-character journal entry type codes that identify *ADDLIB and *DLTLIB operations in the user journal. Use this statement to override the default codes that are used for refreshing the CDC library interest list after adding or deleting libraries that are journaled to the same journal and that contain instances of the same source table.
For more information about these statements and parameters, see Configuring the PowerExchange Listener and the
PowerExchange Reference Manual
