Creating Database User Accounts for Connecting to Teradata Targets

For targets, you must run Data Replication programs under a user account that has rights to read and update Teradata tables.

You can specify existing user accounts or create new user accounts for Data Replication, such as

DATAREP_USER

You can also create user accounts that are dedicated to specific Data Replication functions and manage the grants with security roles. For example, you could create a

DATAREP_USER_SYNCH

account for InitialSync tasks and a

DATAREP_USER_APPLY

account for Applier tasks.
