Set the Location of the Data Vault Repository File

Set the Location of the Data Vault Repository File

Set the location of the Data Vault repository file in the
nucleus.ini
configuration file. Back up the
nucleus.ini
file before you modify it.
  1. Use a text editor to open the
    nucleus.ini
file located in the root of the Data Vault Service directory.
  2. Find the section labeled [DATABASE
    name
    ].
The name of the DATABASE section is the name of the Data Vault repository file with a .n00 extension. The default name of the database section is
    meta
. The default name of the Data Vault repository file is
    meta.n00
    .
The DatabasePath parameter in the DATABASE section stores the location of the Data Vault repository file.
The following text shows an example of the DATABASE section in the
    nucleus.ini
    file:
    [DATABASE meta] DatabasePath=C:\Informatica\DataArchive\FAS MAXVMEM=3072 CACHE=1024
  3. Copy the Data Vault repository file from the location indicated in the DatabasePath parameter to the shared storage.
In this configuration example, go to the
    C:\Informatica\DataArchive\FAS
    directory and copy the
    meta.n00
    file to the
    <SANRootDirectory>/Meta
directory you created in the shared storage device.
  4. Update the location of the Data Vault repository file in the DatabasePath parameter.
Update the value of the DatabasePath parameter with the new location of the Data Vault repository file,
    <SANRootDirectory>/Meta
    .
  5. Save the
    nucleus.ini
    file.
