Installing Data Vault Service for External Attachments

Before you install Data Vault Service for External Attachments, you must install Data Archive with the ILM Engine and Repository component.

Go to the directory where you extracted the files from Informatica_ILM_<release>.zip, for example, Informatica_ILM_61.zip.

With administrator privileges, run one of the following commands:

On Windows operating systems, run

install.cmd

On UNIX based operating systems, run

install.sh

The

Welcome

page of the ILM installer appears.

Click

Next.

The

Installation Mode

page appears.

Select

Install Data Archive

and click

If you purchased ILM products from Symantec, the

License Agreement

page appears. Accept the terms of the license agreement, and click

The

License Key

page appears.

Enter the path and file name of the license key file, and click

The

Installation Folder

page appears.

Enter the absolute path of the installation directory. Specify a different directory than the directory that you used to install the ILM Engine and repository. The directory must be empty.

The directory names in the path cannot contain spaces or any of the following special characters:

@|* $ # ! % ( ) { } [ ] , ; '

Click

The

Components to Install

page appears.

Select

Data Vault Service for External Attachments

, and click

The

Pre-installation Summary

page appears.

Review the installation details, and click

Install

The

Installation Complete

page indicates whether the installation completed successfully.

Click

Done

to complete the installation.
