Installing the Accelerator in Graphical Mode

Installing the Accelerator in Graphical Mode

You can install the accelerator in graphical mode on Linux, UNIX, or Windows. When you run the installer in graphical mode, you must use a graphics display server. On UNIX, the graphics display server is usually an X Window server.
  1. Go to the directory where you unzipped the accelerator file.
  2. To run the installer, double-click the
    install.bat
     file on Microsoft Windows or the
    install.sh
     file on Linux or UNIX.
    The installer
    Welcome
     screen appears.
  3. Click
    Next
    .
  4. Enter the path and the file name of the license key file.
  5. Click
    Next
    .
  6. Enter the full path of the root installation directory of Data Archive, including the complete WMIC if you are installing on Microsoft Windows.
    The root installation directory is the directory where you installed the ILM Engine.
  7. Enter the ILM repository password.
    The ILM repository password is the password for the ILM repository database user or login. You configured the ILM repository password when you installed the ILM Engine and ILM repository.
  8. Click
    Next
    .
  9. Select the application version of the accelerator that you want to install.
  10. Click
    Next
    .
  11. Review the information on the
    Pre-Installation Summary
     page and then click
    Install.
    The installation begins. The
    Post-Installation Summary
     page indicates whether the installation completed successfully.
  12. Click
    Done
     to complete the installation.
The installer creates a log file in the root of the directory that contains the installation files. You can view the installation log file to review configuration properties and get more information about the tasks that the installer performs.
