Troubleshooting an issue for truncating target table

Troubleshooting an issue for truncating target table

When you run a Snowflake mapping with the
Truncate Target Table
option enabled in the Target transformation, the mapping doesn't truncate the target table.
This issue occurs in the following types of assets when the
Autocommit
session property is set to false in the Snowflake user account:
  • Mappings
  • Mappings enabled for
    SQL ELT optimization
  • Mappings in advanced mode enabled for
    SQL ELT optimization
To troubleshoot this issue, perform one of the following steps:
  • Set the
    Autocommit
    session property to
    true
    in the Snowflake user account.
    For more information about the
    Autocommit
session property, see AUTOCOMMIT in the Snowflake documentation.
  • Set the
    Autocommit
    property to
    true
    in the
    Additional JDBC URL Parameters
field of the Snowflake Data Cloud connection.
