Null Values

Null Values

The Record Editor supports null values in integer, date, and lookup fields. If these fields are edited, when you select OK, the values no longer are updated—a null value remains null.

Value	Description
Integer Value	When the value is null, the text is set to blank. You can set a value by typing a value in the field, or by clicking the up and down buttons.
Date Value	When the value is null, the date shows a blank field. You can use the standard editing features to set a date. As soon as you enter a value in any of the fields, the rest of the fields are populated with the current date and time.
Lookup Value	When the value is null, no items in the list are selected.
