Hierarchy Manager Functionality

Hierarchy Manager Functionality

The following table describes the two Hierarchy Manager tools (Hierarchies and Hierarchy Manager):
Workbenches Tree
Tool
Description
Hierarchies (Model workbench)
Administrators use the Tool to set up the structures required to view and manipulate data relationships in Hierarchy Manager.
For example, using the tool, administrators can add tables; define foreign key constraints, queries and packages; add entity types, hierarchies, and relationship types; and configure Hierarchy Manager packages.
The Implementer then defines one or more HM Profiles, which describe what fields and records HM users may display, edit, or add.
See the
Multidomain MDM Configuration Guide
for more information.
Hierarchy Manager (Data Steward workbench)
Data stewards use HM to define and manage hierarchical relationships in their Hub Store.
The Hierarchy Manager is accessible through the Data Steward workbench.
