Configuring Conditional Fields Based on Field Values

Configuring Conditional Fields Based on Field Values

During the configuration of selected field properties, you can establish conditions for conditional fields.
To configure conditional fields based on selected field properties, perform the following steps:
  1. In a section, select the field to configure conditional fields.
    The
    Properties
    panel for the field appears.
  2. To create conditions based on field values, select
    Enable Conditional Fields
    .
    The
    Enable Conditional Fields
    check box is unavailable for fields with
    Text Field
    or
    Text Area
    views and dependent fields.
    The
    Conditional Fields
    section appears.
  3. Select
    Add
    to add a new row in the
    Conditional Fields
    section.
  4. Configure the following properties for the conditional fields:
    Property
    Description
    Conditional Value
    Select one or more field values to determine the visibility of the conditional fields in the Supplier or Customer portal pages. You can configure a set of conditional fields for one or more field values.
    Visibility Fields
    Select the conditional fields from the list. The fields that you select will adjust their visibility in the Supplier or Customer portal pages based on the field values. The previously selected conditional fields are not available for selection.
    You can't select
    Required
    or
    Hidden
    fields as conditional fields.
    Visibility Status
    Determines whether the conditional fields selected in Visibility Fields should appear or be hidden in the Supplier or Customer portal pages.
  5. Select
    Add
    to create a condition for another field value of the selected field and go to Step 4.
  6. To create conditions for other fields, choose the required field in the selected fields section and repeat Steps 2 through 4.
    If you previously configured a field as a conditional field for some other field, the
    Enable Conditional Fields
    check box is inactive.
  7. After you configure conditional fields for required fields, click
    Save
    .
    The visibility of conditional fields is based on the field value that the user specifies in the Supplier or Customer portal pages.
