Hierarchy View

Hierarchy View

The
Hierarchy
view displays the hierarchy relationships for the open record. Use the
Hierarchy
view to view, create, and manage relationships.
You can submit your hierarchy changes for review and approval. When you edit a hierarchy, your changes are highlighted in the
Hierarchy
view.
You can view the hierarchies for a record, including the hierarchy relationships in each hierarchy. You can view the hierarchy for an effective date, or compare the current version of the hierarchy with a version at another date. You can also export the hierarchy.

The following table lists the user interface elements of the hierarchy panel:

Hierarchy tabs
Shows hierarchies to which the record belongs.
Graph
Shows the tree of hierarchy relationships for the open record based on the selected hierarchy.
A record can belong to multiple hierarchies. If you define a default hierarchy for the hierarchy component, the Hierarchies panel loads the default hierarchy for the record. Otherwise, the Hierarchies panel loads the list of hierarchies to which the record belongs.

Relationship Panel

The following table lists the user interface elements of the relationship panel:

Shows the parent and child relationships for the open record based on the selected hierarchy tab.
Quick View tab
Optional. Shows a condensed summary of the record details for the open record.
Your MDM administrator configures the
Quick View
tab. Contact your MDM administrator to configure the view.
