Viewing Record Versions in the Timeline View

Viewing Record Versions in the Timeline View

Use the
Timeline
 view to view the versions of a record. The
Timeline
 view displays a chronology of versions over the lifespan of a record.
  1. From the Search Results panel of the
    Search
     page, open the record that you want to view.
  2. Click the
    Timeline
     tab.
  3. In the middle panel, select a date range to view the versions of the record.
    The versions appear in descending order.
  4. To select a time unit to group data events, in the middle panel, click
    Options
    , and select a different timescale. For example, select
    M
     to select a monthly timescale.
  5. In the middle panel, select a version.
    The details of the record version appear in the right panel.
  6. In the right panel, perform the following actions:
    1. To view the data changes in the version, click
      More Actions
      Open Version History

    2. To edit the version, click
      More Actions
      Edit Version
      .
      The
      Business Entity
       view appears.
  7. To add a version to the record, click
    Add Version
    .
    The
    Business Entity
     view appears.
  8. To view the version of a child record, perform the following steps:
    1. In the left panel, expand a child folder and select a child record.
    2. In the middle panel, select a date range to view the versions of the child record.
      The versions of the child record appear in the middle panel in descending order.
