Configuring the Type of Address to Validate

You can specify the type of address that Address Verification validates when the input address contains both street address data and delivery service address data.
  • In
    Parameters.xml
    , set the
    DualAddressPriority
     attribute of the
    Result
     element to one of the following values.
    • DELIVERY_SERVICE. Validates the address as a delivery service address.
    • POSTAL_ADMIN. Validates the address based on the postal regulations of the country to which the address belongs.
    • STREET. Validates the address as a street address.
    When you validate addresses in the certified mode, set the
    DualAddressPriority
     attribute to POSTAL_ADMIN.
