Creating a Blockchain Data Object

Creating a Blockchain Data Object

Create a blockchain data object to represent the data that you access on the blockchain.
  1. Click
    File
    New
    Data Object
    .
  2. Select
    Physical Data Objects
    Blockchain Data Object
    .
  3. Enter a name for the data object.
  4. Click
    Browse
to select the location for the data object in the Model repository.
  5. Click
    Browse
    to select the blockchain connection.
  6. Optionally, select an operating system profile.
  7. Click
    Add
to add resources to the data object.
  8. In the Package Explorer section, expand the blockchain connection to view the resource URIs.
The following image shows the Package Explorer section:
The image shows the Add Resource dialog box. The left side of the dialog box shows the Package Explorer section. The Package Explorer section shows a blockchain connection. The connection is expanded to show the available resource URIs.
  9. Select a resource URI.
The available transactions appear on the right side of the dialog box. Each transaction uses an HTTP GET, PUT, POST, or DELETE method.
  10. Select the transactions that you want to add to the data object.
For each transaction, you can preview the columns that the transaction operates on in the Entity Information section.
The following image shows the Entity Information section:
The image shows the Add Resource dialog box. In the top right corner of the dialog box, a transaction that uses an HTTP GET request is selected. The bottom right corner of the dialog box shows the Entity Information section. The section shows filter, Response_200, and response_Code columns for the transaction. Each column has name, native name, type, precision, scale, advanced properties, access type, and description properties.
