Insights

Insights

You can run a cross-mapping CLAIRE analysis of a project or project folder. When you run an analysis, CLAIRE examines all of the mappings in the container to find similarities, and displays results in the
Insights
view. By finding mappings with similar structures and functions, you might discover an opportunity to tune mappings or combine them into a smaller number of mappings.
Perform these steps to conduct an analysis:
  1. Right-click a folder in the repository tree and choose
    Analyze
    .
CLAIRE conducts the analysis and displays a message when complete.
If you cancel the analysis before it finishes, you cannot use the Developer tool until cancellation is complete. Wait for the cancellation to finish.
The following text is an example of a message that you see when analysis is complete:
Completed fetching and analyzing [12] mappings in [6] seconds. CLAIRE detected [5] groups of mappings with a similar logical pattern. See Insights view for details.
  2. Click
    OK
    .
  3. View the results of the analysis in the
    Insights
view. The view shows groups of mappings with similar logical patterns.
    The following image shows the
    Insights
view with a list of the groups of mappings that the analysis identified:
The image shows the Insights view with one of five groups of mappings expanded to show the member sof the expanded group.
  4. Expand each group to view the mappings in the group.
  5. Double-click an individual mapping to open it in the mapping editor.
