Blockchain Process

Blockchain Process

Using blockchain as a source, lookup, or target in a mapping requires administrator and developer tasks.
The blockchain process requires tasks from the following users:
Administrator
An administrator creates a blockchain connection. You can create a blockchain connection using the Administrator tool or a command line program. The blockchain connection contains the information to connect to the blockchain and to communicate with the blockchain through a REST API.
For information about creating a blockchain connection using the Administrator tool, see Blockchain Connection Properties. For information about creating a blockchain connection using a command line program, see the
Informatica Command Reference
.
Developer
A developer completes the following tasks:
  1. Creates a blockchain data object to represent data on the blockchain.
  2. Creates one or more blockchain data object operations.
  3. Adds the blockchain data object to the mapping as a Read, Lookup, or Write transformation.
