Data Preview Logs

Data Preview Logs

View logs when you preview data on the Spark engine to monitor jobs and find the cause of error messages.
The Spark Jobserver logs are located in the following directory:
<Informatica installation directory>/services/DataIntegrationService/modules/DataPreviewService/spark-jobserver-0.9.0/<Data Integration Service name>/log
You can view the following types of logs when you run data preview jobs using the Spark Jobserver:
Spark Jobserver start-up log
Messages logged when the Spark Jobserver starts.
The Spark Jobserver start-up log is persisted until you manually clear it.
<Spark Jobserver log directory>/server_start.log
Spark Jobserver log
Messages logged as the Spark Jobserver runs.
The Spark Jobserver log is persisted until you manually clear it.
<Spark Jobserver log directory>/spark-job-server.log
Spark context log
Messages logged when a YARN application is created.
The Spark context log is not persisted. The log is created each time a Spark context is created.
<Spark Jobserver log directory>/jobserver-INFA_DATA_PREVIEW_APP_<Data Integration Service name>8650657650347819144/spark-job-server.out
When a data preview job fails, use the job ID found in the session log to locate the stacktrace in the Spark context log that relates to the failed job.
Mapping run log
Messages logged when a mapping runs.
The mapping run logs are not persisted. The logs are created each time you run a mapping.
<Informatica installation directory>/logs/<node name>/services/DataIntegrationService/disLogs/ms
To view mapping run logs, select the
Show Log
button in the Data Viewer view.
