Mapping Run-time Properties

Mapping Run-time Properties

The mapping run-time properties depend on the environment that you select for the mapping.
The mapping properties contain the
Validation Environments
area and an
Execution Environment
area. The properties in the
Validation Environment
indicate whether the Developer tool validates the mapping definition for the native execution environment, the non-native execution environment, or both. When you run a mapping in the native environment, the Data Integration Service processes the mapping.
When you run a mapping in the non-native environment, the Data Integration Service pushes the mapping execution to the compute cluster through a runtime connection. The engine in the compute cluster processes the mapping.
The following image shows the mapping
Run-time
properties in a Hadoop environment: The image shows the mapping run-time properties tab. It is divided into a list of available validation environments and execution environment properties.
