The Data Integration Service uses advanced properties when it reads data from or writes data to a flat file. Advanced properties include format and run-time properties. The Developer tool displays advanced properties for flat files in the
Advanced
 view.
The
Advanced
 view contains property sections that you can collapse and expand. The column format sections that display depend on whether you configure a delimited or fixed-width column format.
