Creating a Tag

Creating a Tag

Create a tag to add metadata that defines an object based on business usage.
  1. Use one of the following methods to create a tag:
    • Click
      Window
       >
      Preferences
      . In the
      Preferences
       dialog box, select
      Informatica
      Tags
      . Select a Model Repository Service and click
      Add
      .
    • Open an object in the editor. In the
      Tags
       view, click
      Edit
      . In the
      Assign Tags for Object
       dialog box, click
      New
      .
  2. Enter a name for the tag.
  3. Optionally, enter a description.
  4. Click
    OK
    .
