Importing Resource Metadata

Importing Resource Metadata

If you updated the values of custom attributes for a packaged or universal resource in the source environment, import the resource metadata into the target environment. You import resource metadata from a Microsoft Excel file.
Before you import metadata for a resource, verify that the model and resource exist in the target environment and that the resource is loaded successfully. You cannot import resource metadata from the Microsoft Excel file if the resource is not loaded.
  1. On the
    Browse
tab, select the packaged or universal resource for which you want to import metadata.
  2. Click
    Actions
    Import Metadata
    Excel
    .
    The
    Import Catalog Metadata
    window appears.
  3. Select the Microsoft Excel file that contains the resource metadata, and click
    Import
    .
Metadata Manager imports the attribute values and displays the number of metadata objects that were updated, not changed, not found, or not valid.
