Step 6. Create the Model from the Plug-in

To create the model from the plug-in, copy the plug-in to the Metadata Manager Service plug-ins directory. Metadata Manager imports the model when you enable the Metadata Manager Service.

Copy the plug-in to the Metadata Manager Service plug-ins directory:

<Informatica services installation directory>\services\MetadataManagerService\mm-plugins\xconnect\<Metadata Manager Service name>

In the Administrator tool, recycle the Metadata Manager Service.

Recycling the service disables and enables the service.

Metadata Manager imports the model when the service is enabled.

After the Metadata Manager Service is enabled, open the Metadata Manager web application and verify that the model appears on the

Model

tab. On the

Load

tab, click

Actions

New Resource

, and verify that the resource type appears in the New Resource wizard.
