Connecting to the Repository

Connecting to the Repository

To complete this tutorial, you need to connect to the PowerCenter repository.
  1. Launch the PowerCenter Repository Manager.
  2. Click
    Repository
    Add Repository
    .
    The
    Add Repository
    dialog box appears.
  3. Enter the repository name.
    Use the name of the repository in PowerCenter Repository and User Account.
  4. Click
    OK
    .
    The repository appears in the Navigator.
  5. Click
    Repository
    Connect
    .
    The
    Connect to Repository
    dialog box appears.
    The following image shows the
    Connect to Repository
    dialog box:
    The Connect to Repository dialog box has Repository, Username, Password, and Security Domain fields. You also specify the domain in the Connection Settings area.
  6. In the connection settings section, click
    Add
    to add the domain connection information.
    The
    Add Domain
    dialog box appears.
  7. Enter the domain name, gateway host, and gateway port number from Domain.
  8. Click
    OK
    .
    If a message indicates that the domain exists, click
    Yes
    to replace the existing domain.
  9. In the
    Connect to Repository
    dialog box, enter the user and password for the tutorial user.
  10. Select the Native security domain.
  11. Click
    Connect
    .
