Configuring Entity Join

Configuring Entity Join

You can configure related join entities from the Application Source Qualifier.
  1. Drag the primary entity and the entity you want to link to the Mapping Designer.
    The PowerCenter Integration Service creates two Application Source Qualifiers for the two entities.
  2. Delete the Application Source Qualifier of the linked entity and connect all the ports from the linked entity to the Application Source Qualifier of the primary entity.
  3. In the Mapping Designer, double-click the Application Source Qualifier.
  4. Click the
    Microsoft Dynamics CRM Properties
    tab.
  5. Click the Browse button by the
    Entity Join
    field.
    The
    Edit Metadata Extension Value - Entity Join
    dialog box appears.
  6. The primary entity is selected by default.
    You can select another primary entity.
    The PowerCenter Integration Service populates the corresponding relationships between the primary entity and the linked entity.
  7. In the
    Relationship Attributes
    section, the primary entity attribute and the linked entity attribute are populated.
  8. Click
    OK
    .
You can join two entities that are the same.
