IBMI_USE_DB2_SYSTEM_COLUMN_NAMES

The IBM_USE_DB2_SYSTEM_COLUMN_NAMES statement controls whether to use IBM i system column names or long column names for Db2 for i source tables when creating PowerExchange capture registrations and performing PowerExchange database row tests.
This statement pertains to personal metadata and CDC database row tests in the PowerExchange Navigator, the creation of capture registrations in the PowerExchange Navigator and DTLUCBRG utility, and DB2i5OS source and target imports for CDC workflows in PowerCenter.

  • Y
. Use Db2 system column names. The system column names will be displayed for databases row tests and for capture registrations. Use this setting only if the tables include unused fields that might be repurposed later to prevent having to re-register the tables or re-import new data maps into PowerCenter.
  • N
. Use long column names instead of Db2 system column names.
Default is
N
.
Do not change this setting after you've created active Db2 for i capture registrations.
