USE_DB_AUTH Statement

When LDAP authentication is enabled, the USE_DB_AUTH statement controls whether or not LDAP authentication applies to relational connections.

When LDAP authentication is not enabled through the SECURITY statement, this statement has no effect.

. PowerExchange authenticates users against LDAP, regardless of the connection type.

. For relational connections, PowerExchange does not authenticate users against LDAP. Instead, PowerExchange delegates authentication to an underlying relational database. For nonrelational connections, PowerExchange authenticates users against LDAP.
