Data Map Properties - DL/I Batch or IMS ODBA Access Method

Data Map Properties - DL/I Batch or IMS ODBA Access Method

View or edit properties for a data map that uses the
IMS DL/1 BATCH
or
IMS ODBA
access method.
IMS SSID
The IMS subsystem ID. Maximum length is four characters.
Depending on the access method, this property is a logical value or actual SSID:
  • If you use the IMS ODBA access method, this value is the actual IMS SSID that is defined for the control region. This value must match the DBCTLIB value in the IMS job that configures ODBA access and match the SSID value in an IMSID statement in the DBMOVER configuration member.
For an IMS target, if you use the DTL.DBWRITE.IMS.
    imsid
resource profile to control write access, verify that this IMS SSID value matches the
    imsid
    value in the resource profile.
  • If you use DL/I or BMP access, this value is a logical SSID that matches the SSID that is specified in an IMSID statement in the DBMOVER configuration member and in the registration group. It is not used for DL/I access to the IMS database.
For an IMS target, if you use the DTL.DBWRITE.IMS resource profile to control write access, do
    not
    specify this IMS SSID value.
You can override the IMS SSID value in the PowerCenter session properties for a bulk data movement source or target. You can also override the IMS SSID in the advanced parameters for a database row test.
DBD Name
The name of the IMS database description (DBD) for the IMS source. Specify this value if you plan to read IMS unload files.
PCB Number
Required for DL/I batch or BMP access by means of a netport job. Specify the relative PCB number for the database. If the PSB specifies COMPAT=YES, add 1 to the PCB number.
PSB Name
Required for IMS ODBA access. Specify the name of a PSB that contains the DBD for the database.
Maximum length is eight alphanumeric characters.
PCB Name
Required for IMS ODBA access. Enter the name of a PCB that is in the specified PSB and that references the named DBD. You can enter a label for the PCB or the PCB name parameter value.
Data Codepage
The code page that describes the character set for the character data in the database. For the
Default
code page, PowerExchange uses the default code page for the operating system.
Default is
Default
.
Skip First
n
Records from File
The number of header records in the data file to skip. For example, if the data file contains one or more header records that do not contain data, enter the number of header records to skip.
Valid values are from 0 through 2147483647. Default is 0.
View File
Displays the data file associated with the data map. Enabled after you enter a file name in the
IMS Unload Dataset
field.
IMS Unload Dataset
Enter the name of the IMS unload data set if you plan to process IMS unload files.
