Glossary Import Properties

Glossary Import Properties

Configure the glossary import properties when you import a glossary. The import wizard provides options that you can configure in each step.
The following table describes the properties in the import wizard:

Include Attachments to Assets
Include the attachments with the import file. This option is enabled by default.

Include Linked Assets from other Glossaries
Choose this option if you want details about assets linked from other glossaries to be included in the current import file. This option is enabled by default.

Include Audit History
Import the audit history of the assets. If you are importing glossaries from version 9.5.1, the business glossary data is an XML file.

Include rich text content for conflicting assets
Import formatted rich text. Choose this option for properties that have rich text or are of long string data type. Specify if the Analyst tool must import data from the import file when there are conflicting assets.

Select the assets in the available categories, that you want to import.
View Summary
Replace the glossary assets with the imported assets
Select this option if you want to discard the conflicting assets that are already in the glossary and replace them with assets from the import file.

Create a copy of the conflicting assets
Select this option if you want to preserve the conflicting assets that area already in the glossary by creating a copy. The analyst tool does not delete the existing assets.

Do not import the conflicting assets.
The Analyst tool skips the import of conflicting assets.
If you want to import business glossary assets as plain text into the Analyst tool, you must add the
-DimportAsPlainText=Y
or
-DimportAsPlainText=y
property in the JVM Command Line Options of the Analyst Service in Informatica Administrator.
