The NYSIIS strategy analyzes words and creates group keys from letters that represent word pronunciation.

While the Soundex strategy only considers the first vowel in a string, the NYSIIS strategy analyzes vowels throughout a string. The NYSIIS strategy converts all letters to one of six characters, and converts most vowels to the letter
