If you need to increase the size or precision of a column that is not part of the primary key in a source table, use this procedure to make the change and resume replication. This procedure does not support modifications that require a datatype change.
If you re-create a table, the new table has a different object ID. In this case, you must re-synchronize and map the table again in the Data Replication Console.
Stop replication.
Modify the column on the source table.
Modify the column on the target table.
Switch logs and run an extraction cycle.
This step ensures that all of the change records that reference the column are parsed correctly.
Back up your configuration file.
In the Data Replication Console, open the configuration file.
