Storage Classification Configuration

Before you create a smart partitioning project, configure a storage classification.

You can configure the following properties for a storage classification:

Name: The name of the storage classification.
Default: Determines if the selected storage classification is the default classification when you create a new segmentation policy.
Hybrid Columnar Compression Supported: Enables the Oracle Hybrid Columnar Compression feature for the storage classification. To use Oracle Hybrid Columnar Compression, you must enable this property as well as the advanced_compression parameter in the
Manage Segmentation Setup
page.
Mount Point: Directory location of the mount point.
Available Space (GB): Amount of space available at the mount point.
