Prerequisites for creating a custom field in Salesforce

Create a Zendesk ID custom field in the Salesforce account, contact, and case entities.
  1. Log in to the Salesforce organization.
  2. Go to
    Setup
    Build
    Customize
    Accounts
    Fields
    , and then click
    New
    .

  3. In the
    Field Label
    field, enter
    Zendesk ID
    , enter the
    Field Name
    field value as
    Zendesk_ID
    , and then save the custom field.
    You must create a custom field with the
    Text
    data type.

  4. Save the custom field.
  5. Follow the same steps for the
    Contact
    and
    Case
    entities.
