You can create a hierarchy during and after initial data load. To create a hierarchy during initial data load, assign the appropriate parent account value. You must start with the root node and then load the hierarchy one level at a time. To create a hierarchy after initial data load, load all the records without parent account values.
Creating During Initial Data Load
CC360
uses the parent account value to maintain the structure of a hierarchy. You can populate these values to build your hierarchy when you use an external tool such as Informatica Cloud Services to initially load the data into
CC360
.
If you create the hierarchy during the initial data load, start with the top hierarchy level and then one hierarchy level at a time. Load one hierarchy level at a time until you reach the bottom hierarchy level.
CC360
determines and then populates the approximate ultimate parent value and hierarchy value.
Creating After Initial Data Load
Load all the records without parent account values. After you load all the data, use an external tool such as Informatica Cloud Services to populate the parent account values.
Use this method to avoid asynchronous hierarchy processing when you create the hierarchy. Start with the root node at the top hierarchy level and then populate the values one hierarchy level at a time.
