On UNIX, the ssapid utility extracts process identification number of a process. Some
Identity Resolution
processes use the ssapid utility to extract the process identification numbers.
Ensure that the ssapid utility works before starting the
Identity Resolution
Server.
To verify that the ssapid utility works, run the
ssapid $$
command from the
<Identity Resolution Installation Directory>/bin
directory.
The output of the command returns all the process identification numbers with system-related information. For example:
735024109 -bash
If the command does not return any process identification numbers, the utility failed to run. The utility fails if your computer does not have a ps utility that supports the
-p
option. You must contact Informatica Global Customer Support to change the ssapid script to suit the ps utility that is available in your computer.
