Editing Record Versions

Editing Record Versions

You can edit the data of an existing record version. For example, you might want to edit the effective period of the version.
If the effective period of the new version overlaps with the effective period of existing versions, the effective period of the new version will be adjusted to avoid any overlaps with the existing versions.
For example, if you add a new version V2 that overlaps with V1, the system creates V2 and V3, and updates V1.
The image shows that version v2 is split into v2 and v3 when versions v1 and v2 have an overlapping effective period
