Secure Agent Java version

Secure Agent Java version

The Secure Agent uses an embedded Java instance and does not rely on external Java installations outside of the Secure Agent installation directory.
When the Secure Agent is installed initially, the embedded Java instance is located in the following folder:
<Secure Agent installation directory>/jdk
When new Java versions are installed during upgrades, their packages are stored in the following folder:
<Secure Agent installation directory>/apps/jdk
The following image shows an example of multiple Java versions:
If multiple versions of Java are installed, they are located in the
<Secure Agent installation directory>/apps/jdk folder. The conf subfolder
lists the versions of Java that are currently active.
You can find the currently versions of Java in use by examining the files in the following folder:
<Secure Agent installation directory>/apps/jdk/conf
In the
conf
folder you see the files:
  • jdk17_version
, which lists the version of JDK 17.x in use.
  • version
, which lists the version of JDK 8.x in use.
