Set up the AWS environment

Set up the AWS environment

Set up your AWS environment to create and configure the required AWS resources before creating a serverless runtime environment.
To set up the AWS environment, complete the following tasks:
  1. Create and configure AWS resources to connect to the serverless runtime environment.
  2. Verify that your VPC can connect to all data sources in the resource share, including private resources such as Amazon S3 and public resources such as Snowflake.
  3. Create an IAM role that the serverless runtime environment can use to access the supplementary file location.
  4. Create a system disk to improve mapping performance in
    Data Integration
    .
  5. Create a data disk if you have files on Amazon EFS or an NFS file server that you want to use in tasks.
  6. If tasks use JAR files and external libraries, dedicate a location on Amazon S3 to store the files and create folders for each file type.
  7. If your organization allows only trusted IP addresses, add the IP addresses for the Informatica NAT gateway to the trusted list.
The following image shows how you share data sources and the serverless runtime environment connects to them:
S3, EFS, Redshift, and Snowflake data sources are connected to resource
configurations. Each resource configuration is added to a resource share. The
resource share is shared with Informatica. Informatica uses a resource gateway
to connect to S3, EFS, and Redshift and a NAT gateway to connect to
                    Snowflake.
  1. You add each data source to a resource configuration.
  2. You create a resource share to share all resource configurations.
  3. Informatica uses a resource gateway to connect to data sources like S3, EFS, and Redshift.
  4. Informatica uses a NAT gateway to connect to data sources like Snowflake.
