Mapping Recommendations and Analysis

Mapping Recommendations and Analysis

You can tune and correct mappings as you develop them based on recommendations and analysis generated by the Informatica CLAIRE engine. The recommendations and insights help you optimize mappings and projects to reduce development costs and improve application performance.
CLAIRE uses artificial intelligence and internal algorithms to analyze mappings individually or in groups. The Developer tool displays the results of its analysis of a single mapping as recommendations, and analysis of a group of mappings as insights. By reading and following these tips, you can recognize potential problems and opportunities for improvement.
When you enable recommendations, as you develop a mapping, CLAIRE analyzes your work and raises recommendations for improving the mapping. For example, a recommendation might point out a type mismatch in the mapping flow, or suggest a run-time engine that might improve mapping performance.
If the domain and the Developer tool are enabled for Enterprise Data Catalog or Axon, the Developer tool alerts you to the presence of sensitive data in a mapping. You can customize the types of sensitive data that CLAIRE detects.
You can also run an analysis on a group of mappings, such as all the mappings in a project. The resulting insights identify similarities among a group of mappings so you can find and remove redundancies.
