Starting Data Lineage Analysis from a Transformation Instance

You can start data lineage analysis from a transformation instance that is not a mapping or mapplet input or output. For example, you can start data lineage analysis from an Expression transformation instance within a mapplet.
When you start data lineage analysis from a transformation that is not an input or output, Metadata Manager displays the transformation instance as a standalone object in the data lineage diagram. To see how the object is linked to other objects in the data lineage diagram, switch to the detail view.
