PowerExchange for Salesforce Connections

PowerExchange for Salesforce Connections

Use an application connection object for each Salesforce source, target, or lookup that you want to access.
The following table describes the connection attributes for a Salesforce application connection:
Connection Property
Description
Name
Name of the Salesforce connection.
Type
Standard Salesforce connection.
User Name
User name for the Salesforce account.
Password
Password for the Salesforce account.
Service URL
URL of the Salesforce service.

URL of the Salesforce service while using Salesforce Picklist, Merge, and Lookup transformation.

You can also create an OAuth type connection to access to Salesforce using the Salesforce API. OAuth is a standard protocol that allows for secure API authorization. A benefit of OAuth is that users do not need to disclose their Salesforce credentials and the Salesforce administrator can revoke the consumer's access at any time.
The following table lists the properties for an OAuth connection:
Connection Property
Description
Name
Name of the OAuth connection.
Type
Select the Use OAuth checkbox to use the OAuth connection.
Refresh Token
The Refresh Token of Salesforce.
Consumer Key
The Consumer Key obtained from Salesforce, required to generate the Refresh Token.
Consumer Secret
The Consumer Secret obtained from Salesforce, required to generate the Refresh Token.
