Working with File Sources

Working with File Sources

You can create a session to extract data from flat file, COBOL, or XML sources. When you create a session to read data from a file, you can configure the following information in the session properties:
  • Source properties.
You can define source properties on the Properties settings in the Sources node, such as source file options.
  • Flat file properties.
You can edit fixed-width and delimited source file properties.
  • Line sequential buffer length.
You can change the buffer length for flat files on the Advanced settings on the Config Object tab.
  • Treat source rows as.
You can define how the Integration Service treats each source row as it reads it from the source.
