Restarting a Task or Workflow Without Recovery

Restarting a Task or Workflow Without Recovery

You can restart a task or workflow without recovery by using a cold start. Cold start is a start mode that the Integration Service uses to restart a task or workflow without recovery. When you restart a failed task or workflow that has recovery enabled, the Integration Service does not process recovery data. The Integration Service clears the state of operation and the recovery file or table before it restarts the task or workflow. You do not want to recover data if you already cleaned up the target system.
To restart a task or workflow without recovery:
  1. In the Navigator, select the task or workflow you want to restart.
  2. Click Tasks > Cold Start Task or Workflows > Cold Start Workflow.
