Starting the Data Vault Administration Tool

Starting the Data Vault Administration Tool

When you install the Data Vault Administration Tool, the installer adds a shortcut to the application from the Start menu. You must log in to connect to the Data Vault Service.
  1. On the Windows start menu, go to
    Programs
    Informatica Data Vault
    FAS Administrator
    .
    The Administration Tool displays a login window. You can ignore the error message that indicates that the installation path is not available.
  2. On the login window, enter the login information.
    The following table describes the parameters required to log in to the Administration Tool:
    Parameter
    Description
    User
    User name for the user account to connect to the Data Vault Service. You can use the administrator user account created during the Data Vault installation. The user name of the administrator account is
    dba
    .
    Password
    Password for the user account to connect to the Data Vault Service.
    Host
    Host name or IP address of the machine that hosts the Data Vault.
    EXE Port
    Port number used by the Data Vault Agent and the Data Vault Administration Tool to connect to the Data Vault. Default is 8600.
  3. Click
    Connect
     to log in to the Administration Tool and connect to the Data Vault Service.
