If you transfer the data export files manually, use the list to identify the data files that you need to copy. You need to copy the data files from the source Data Vault system to the target system. When you run the ssadbcopy utility, you specify the location of the data files on the target system with the

-n

and

-l

options in the utility.

If you transfer the data export files automatically, you can use the data file list as an audit log. For example, you can verify that all of the required data files exist in the target system before you import the data.
