The
bc
(basic calculator) command is a command-line calculator utility that you can use to perform basic arithmetic, advanced mathematical functions, store values with variables, use programming control statements, and control decimal precision. Before you run the CDI-PC server installer in console mode or in silent mode, make sure that
bc
is installed in the Linux machine where you want to install CDI-PC.
To install
bc
, use the package manager based on the Linux distribution:
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or CentOS Stream
    sudo yum install bc
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise (SLES)
    sudo zypper install bc
