Re-assessing a repository

Re-assessing a repository

You can re-assess an already assessed repository directly from the
Explore
page.
  1. On the left navigation menu, click
    Explore
    .
  2. From the explore drop-down list, select
    Repositories
    .
    A list of repositories available in the domains registered with
    CDI-PC
    appears.
  3. Identify the repository that you want to assess.
  4. Click
    Assess Repository
    .
    Alternatively, to re-assess a previously assessed repository, click
    Assess again
    from the actions menu.
    The
    Edit Assessment Task
    page appears.
  5. Enter the required information as shown in the following table:
    Property
    Description
    Name of the task
    (Optional) Name of the assessment task.
    Assessment Task Location
    Location in Data Integration to save the assessment tasks.
    Runtime Environment
    The name of the runtime environment where you want to run the assessment job.
    Description
    (Optional) Description of the assessment job.
    Domain
    The domain that contains the repository to be assessed.
    Repository Type
    Different repository types that can be assessed.
    Currently, you can assess only a PowerCenter Repository.
    Repository
    Repository to be assessed.
    Shared Folder Location
    Base location of the shared folder where you copied the parameter files.
    For example, if you have copied the configuration files to the
    <SharedDirectoryLocation>\<DomainDisplayName>\<RepositoryName>\Templates
    folder, the base location is
    <SharedDirectoryLocation>\
    .
    I have placed the parameter files in the shared folder
    Check box to confirm that you have copied the parameter files to the following location:
    <shared_folder>/<domain_name>/<repository_name>/Templates
  6. Select
    Migrate to a different endpoint
    if you want to repoint the assets to a different endpoint after migrating to the cloud.
  7. Select the repoint configuration that you want to use for this assessment.
  8. Click
    Validate
    .
    CDI-PC
    validates if the required input files are available in the shared directory location.
    On successful validation, the
    Start Assessment
    button is enabled.
  9. Click
    Start Assessment
    .
    An assessment job is created and the assessment process starts.
    Based on the repository size, it might take several minutes to few hours for the assessment process to complete. You can monitor the status of the assessment job in the
    My Jobs
    page.
    Additionally,
    CDI-PC
    sends an email notification after the assessment job completes.
