You can configure Informatica Address Verification to obtain the current version of an older address in Japan and South Korea.
Use the MatchingExtendedArchive attribute of the Process element to configure Address Verification to verify older addresses. To verify a non-current address, set the
MatchingExtendedArchive
attribute of the
Process
element to ON.
For Japan addresses, configure the MatchingExtendedArchive attribute to obtain the new Choumei Aza code for an older address. You can then enter the new Choumei Aza code in address code lookup mode to retrieve the current version of the address. Address Verification returns the address and the new Choumei Aza code that Japan Post issued when the older address was updated. To receive Choumei Aza codes in the address output, you must enable Japan address enrichments and you must install the Japan archive address and enrichment databases.
A Japan address can have more than one older version. Because Address Verification returns the address and new Choumei Aza code that Japan Post issued when the older address was updated, the output data might not reflect the current address. You can use the new Choumei Aza code that Address Verification returned to retrieve the current Choumei Aza code and address. For information on how to retrieve the Choumei Aza code for an address that has multiple older versions, see
Extended Archives and Japan Addresses.
For South Korea addresses, configure the MatchingExtendedArchive attribute to validate older, land lot-based addresses and older, six-digit post codes. You retrieve a corresponding address ID value as an enrichment. You can then enter the address ID in address code lookup mode to retrieve the current, street-based version of the address and the current, five-digit post code. To retrieve the address ID, you must enable South Korea address enrichments and you must install the South Korea enrichment database. For information on how to retrieve the current, street-based version of a South Korea address, see
Extended Archives and South Korea Addresses.
If you set
MatchingExtendedArchive
to OFF, Address Verification considers only the current, street-based address and the current post code as valid. To evaluate the addresses or post codes in the older formats, set
MatchingExtendedArchive
to ON.
If you set
MatchingExtendedArchive
to ON, Address Verification returns an Extended Element Result status of F for a lot-based address. If you set the MatchingExtendedArchive attribute to OFF, Address Verification rejects or corrects outdated lot-based addresses.
