Data Integration Hub
Installation

Data Integration Hub
consists of the core application component and additional required and optional components. If you install
Data Integration Hub
, PowerCenter® services, and the PowerCenter Client on the same machine, you can select all of the components in the installer. Otherwise, install each component on the required machine.
The
Data Integration Hub
installation includes the following components:
Data Integration Hub
Core application component. Includes the Operation Console,
Data Integration Hub
server, the
Data Integration Hub
repository
, and the publication repository
. The PowerCenter services must be running when you install
Data Integration Hub
. You must set up the database user account
s
before you install this component.

Dashboard and Reports
You can make the Dashboard available in
Data Integration Hub
in two ways. When you install
Data Integration Hub
, you can enable the dashboard that uses operational data store. Otherwise, you can use the dashboard that uses metadata repository which is available by default.
This is a business activity monitoring component. Includes the dashboard application and the operational data store repository. You must set up a different user account from the user account that you use for the
Data Integration Hub
repository.
You must install the
Data Integration Hub
component to install this component.
Data Integration Hub
PowerCenter server plug-in
PowerCenter repository plug-in that
Data Integration Hub
uses to run
Data Integration Hub
transformations in PowerCenter. The installation includes files to add to the classpath of the PowerCenter Integration Service. You must install this plug-in on the same machine as the PowerCenter services.
After you install this component, you must register the plug-in to the PowerCenter repository before you create and run
Data Integration Hub
workflows.

PowerCenter Client plug-in
PowerCenter Client plug-in that displays
Data Integration Hub
transformation properties in PowerCenter mappings. You install this plug-in on all PowerCenter Client machines that you plan to use to build mappings and workflows for

transformations.

Hadoop Service
Available when you install
Data Integration Hub
on a Linux operating system.
Connecting module between
Data Integration Hub
and the Hadoop cluster. Enables
Data Integration Hub
to perform operations on the Hadoop publication repository.
Select this component if you want to define a Hadoop-based publication repository and manage some of your topics on Hadoop.
The
Data Integration Hub
Hadoop Service must be installed on an edge node in the Hadoop cluster. Unless you are installing
Data Integration Hub
on a Hadoop edge node, do not select this component during
Data Integration Hub
installation. In this case, after you complete the
Data Integration Hub
installation, run the installation again on the edge node and select to install only the
Data Integration Hub
Hadoop Service component on the node.

Data Engineering Integration
Enables
Data Integration Hub
to use Data Engineering Integration mappings for custom publications and subscriptions that publish and subscribe to a Hadoop-based publication repository.
Available when you install

to use Data Quality mappings for custom publications and subscriptions from and to on-premises applications.
